Day 156 Location: Taganga, Colombia 5819 miles so far

Not content with cycling from London to Beijing, Dave has decided to tackle a route from Tierra del Fuego to the Caribbean. This time he will be ably accompanied, and in no way hindered, by Gary whose previous cycling triumphs include a 2 mile round trip to his local squash club.

Our route takes us from windswept Tierra del Fuego, through Patagonia, across the Atacama desert, over the Bolivian altiplano, into the depths of the Amazon basin and, fingers crossed, to the Caribbean coast of Venezuela.
